The Latino Network, a Latino-led education organization, is breaking ground on a new building after raising $16.2 million for La Plaza Esperanza in outer Southeast Portland. The multi-purpose center fulfills a dream of the region’s Latino community and will provide programming for all ages including a culturally specific preschool, youth programs, workforce training, and spaces for celebrations, events and festivals. Soñando Juntos means “dreaming together” in Spanish. The theme and artwork for the campaign were inspired by the Latino Network’s biggest annual fundraiser, Noche Bella.
